Letters of support and thanks.....

2007

Thank you for such a wonderful event it has become the buzz of Metropolitan Community College and we now see the potential for this becoming MCC Longview Spring event. Fun was had by all...my son loved it!

We look forward to working with you and seeing how we can continue growing this event...you had mentioned getting us some passes to the River Fest to see how it is set up....please know that if that is still possible we would be interested in 4 tickets and knowing what dates would be best to attend to see what you think would be important for us to learn.  We would invite our business development office and Longview Representatives to get a feel for the possibilities of what a bigger event might bring.  Let me know if this is still possible so we can plan accordingly.

Again thank you...you were correct in your description of this event back in January when we thought it was to cold to discuss kites...your excitement has spread through several thousand at MCC Longview...thank you!

Rare indeed.  We appreciate deeply the effort you all of your members to make this all happen. It was a LONG day -- and we all realize just how long it really was.  Can you tell us which TV station aired the photos?  We'd like to contact them as well (would have been nice if they'd come by).

Our in-house estimates say over 4000, we are using the figure here of "Over 3000" (easier to be a bit conservative).  Kettle Korn says his sales were very brisk (2 workers could not keep up with demand -- he called in a 3rd person to help).

Other "food" (I use that term "FOOD" loosely with respect to 'hot dogs') sold: vendor says they sold over 1,400 Hot Dogs.

Thanks again to your entire group.

Thank you for a wonderful day today at The Kite Fest.  We enjoyed watching the kites fly and it has renewed our interest in kite flying!  We were sorry that the high wind / weather did not allow for more demonstrations, but fun was had by all!!

THANK YOU to all who worked so hard to make this 1st annual event such a success!
